Centro Profesional del Este

In Caracas, one of the many up-and-coming capitals of the large South American continent, where today, next to tin shanty towns, new huge residential towers with cheap flats shoot up from the ground by the government, where large avenues from the new, generously designed city centre end after a few kilometres in some primeval forest or steppe landscape, our example of a high-rise office building with annexes was started and built two years ago. The name “Vocational Centre del Este” says a lot about the interesting and unique combination of different professions that are closely related to their activities in a large modern building. The idea, born out of the special needs of Venezuela's capital, blessed with an unimaginable building boom, came from a group of building enthusiasts, including architects and engineers as well as a consortium of building contractors. Associated with these three professional groups is the most important part, the bank that finances the whole thing, which is housed in a special wing of the building and, as a speciality, also has its own drive-in bank. Here, drivers can deposit or withdraw money directly from their cars to their bank accounts. En Caracas, una de las muchas capitales prometedoras del gran continente sudamericano, donde hoy, junto a los barrios de chabolas de hojalata, se levantan desde el suelo nuevas y enormes torres residenciales con pisos baratos por parte del gobierno, donde las grandes avenidas del nuevo centro de la ciudad, generosamente diseñado, terminan después de unos kilómetros en algún paisaje de bosque o estepa primitivos, se inició y construyó hace dos años nuestro ejemplo de edificio de oficinas en altura con anexos. El nombre “Centro Profesional del Este” dice mucho sobre la interesante y única combinación de diferentes profesiones estrechamente relacionadas con sus actividades en un gran edificio moderno.
