Espai Verd

At the beginning of the 1980s, the CSPT architecture studio (initials of the architects who form it Antonio Cortés, Alfonso Serrano, Salvador Pérez, and Toni Carrascosa) was specialized in designing and managing the construction of buildings throughout the owners' cooperative system. These projects, without the classic figure of the private developer, who usually tries to get the maximum benefit from the sale of real estate, allowed them to experiment and search for the best possible habitats for users. In this way, most of the work carried out by CSPT, prior to the development of Espai Verd, favored habitat and interpersonal relationships through the transfer of a large part of the surface in favor of recreational spaces, green areas, and free heights. A comienzos de la década de los años 80, el estudio de arquitectura CSPT (iniciales de los arquitectos componentes del estudio Antonio Cortés, Alfonso Serrano, Salvador Pérez y Toni Carrascosa) se había especializado en el diseño y gestión de la ejecución de edificaciones mediante el sistema de cooperativa de propietarios. Estos proyectos, exentos de la clásica figura del promotor privado, que habitualmente busca el máximo rendimiento en la explotación de los inmuebles, les permitió la experimentación y búsqueda de los mejores hábitats posibles para los usuarios. De este modo, la mayor parte de los trabajos que realizó CSPT, previo a la ejecución de Espai Verd, favorecían el hábitat y las relaciones interpersonales mediante la cesión de gran parte de la superficie a favor de espacios de esparcimientos, zonas verdes y alturas libres. The idea of carrying out Espai Verd came at a gathering held by Cortés (director of this project), where he was asked to make houses with gardens, like chalets, arranged in height and linked to the urban cente r of Valencia.
