Locomotiva 3. Proposal for the area of Spina 4

The proposal of Pier Vittorio Aureli, located in the area of Spina in Turin, is a remarkable example of how to combine the XXL urban scale with a domestic proposal for the users. The projects is shaped by three main elements: the urban park and the train station that divides it into two different parts; the thirteen towers connected among them by a plinth and bridges to different levels; and the courtyard housing that have the same scale as the neighbourhood. Although the appearance of the projects looks massive, both the plans and the interior collage show a domestic space. Moreover, the position of the cores allow a extreme functionality of the internal spaces. La propuesta de Pier Vittorio Aureli para el area de Spina en Turín es un gran ejemplo de cómo aunar la escala urbana XXL con una propuesta doméstica y apropiada para el usuario. El proyecto se compone de tres elementos principales: el gran parque urbano con la estación de metro que lo atraviesa, las trece torres conectadas por un zócalo y varios puentes a distintas alturas y las casas-patio en la zona sur acopladas al tejido urbano. A pesar de que la imagen del complejo posee una apariencia brutalista y masiva, tanto en las plantas como en el collage interior, se observa una escala controlada, con una situación de los núcleos que permite una funcionalidad extrema de los espacios.
