Sometimes a building can be almost pure roof, its passive elements so hidden within its shadow to be obscure. The shell alone is the space encloser. This is what happens in La Virgen Milagrosa. With so powerful structure, one hardly, sees its ornaments and effigies. Quite accidentally, it seems the expressionism of early German films, Gaudi's naturalistic play of shapes and the cubist experiments of Picasso are echoed here.
