Multifunctional Hall Building

We have mainly attempted to create a bold and authentic source of radiation – and attraction – of life. Within the characteristics of the area and the location of the building, we sought a useful and static solution oriented towards a primordial human purpose: building an enclosure that absorbs, by itself, the most varied possibilities of permanent animation of the neighborhood. Hemos pretendido crear fundamentalmente un audaz y auténtico foco de radiación – y de atracción – de vida. Dentro de las características de la zona y del particular emplazamiento del edificio, se ha buscado, antes que nada, una solución útil y estática orientada hacia un fin humano primordial: el de construir un recinto que absorba, por sí solo las más variadas posibilidades de permanente animación del barrio. The building will synthesize everything that needs to be achieved in a Mediterranean city and will have a different attractive study for each season of the year. The same radial arrangement of terraces at different heights, freely passable gardens, staggered platforms on the contour will allow the existence of authentic commercial streets that will be always open: apartments, restaurants, “nightclubs”, cinemas, bars, offices, public offices, travel agencies, medical services, exhibition halls, discotheques, saunas, gyms, “relaxation” areas, and so on. And all this as wrapping the large central space of the various entertainment hall, in which, apart from the different sporting events, it has also been thought about the fitting out of its own venues for banquets, congresses, etc. El conjunto obedecerá a un espacio de síntesis de todo lo que se buscan en una ciudad genuinamente mediterránea, con un estudiado atractivo para cada estación del año.
