Oks House

The Oks house is located in the town of Martinez, in the outskirts of Greater Buenos Aires. The terrain, quite a big plot, widens significantly in the middle of its bottom, where the prism of the house has been located, occupying the largest transverse dimension. The exterior is thus divided into two areas, clearly differentiated, which also respond to a different treatment. The front is of a traditional type, a large turf surface with shrubs, connected to the street by a low grid and open fence. The rear area, more closed, presents a defined patio character intimately integrated with the living area. This last area serves as a link to the house with a pavilion of games, changing rooms and bar, which serves a large swimming pool. La casa Oks está ubicada en la localidad de Martínez, alrededores del Gran Buenos Aires. El terreno, un lote de buenas medidas, se ensancha notablemente en mitad de su fondo, donde se ha ubicado el prisma de la casa, ocupando así la mayor dimensión transversal. El exterior queda así dividido en dos zonas, claramente diferenciadas, que responden, también, a un tratamiento diferente. La parte del frente es de tipo tradicional, una amplia superficie de césped matizada por núcleos de arbustos, conectada hacia la calle mediante una reja baja y de trama abierta. la zona posterior, más cerrada, presenta un definido carácyer de patio integrado íntimamente con la zona de vivir. Ésta última zona sirve de vinculación a la casa con un pabellón de juegos, vestuarios y bar, que sirve a una gran pileta de natación. Essentially, the house constitutes a simple virtual prism, defined by an iron structure; within the framework of columns and beams, horizontal planes given by concrete slabs are strongly accentuated and also vertical ones, closed or open depending on the cases, with frames or cladding covered with colored pottery.
