Pervading Towards Landscape

It is hard to imagine any expression of the Basque Country, where social conflicts are slowly overwhelming the whole community, not based on the idea of stressing out, of tension. We understand that huge constructed masses, with similar proportions in their three dimensions, based on an axial layout, contribute not only to the physical endurance of the landscape limits but to the psychological resistance of the inhabitants. Proponemos que el ciudadano, el sujeto-espectador, conozca su orientación y situación geográfica, hacerle ser más consciente del lugar. El ser es sinónimo de estar, de estar situado, de ser en situación. The site is an artificial piece of land edged by water, like a cape. The limits are the Galindo River to the North and the “Ria del Nervion” to the West.
