Este artículo forma parte de la serie “Attitude” , comisariada por Hidden Architecture, donde exploramos la producción actual de arquitectos contemporáneos que, a pesar de las diferencias manifiestas de contexto físico o cultural, comparten una atención práctica hacia el valor social de la arquitectura como estructura pública. This proposal by Pedro Pitarch Architectures&Urbanisms is a response to the brief of the Architectural competition for the National Concert Hall ‘Tautos namai’ in Vilnius . The project is more a device for social congestion than a mere building. As it has the capability to trigger the necessary functions that would construct cultural, social and metropolitan contexts surrounding its main program, a concert hall, and extending it to further realms. The updated House of the Nation is nor a plaza nor a building but something in between. A place amid urbanism and architecture. A common framework for social gathering, cultural exchange and dialogue. The reconstruction of Tauras Hill-Top topography sheltered under the cover of the functional programs for the New National Concert Hall. El proyecto es más un dispositivo para la congestión social que un mero edificio. Así tiene la capacidad de desencadenar las funciones necesarias que construirían contextos culturales, sociales y metropolitanos alrededor de su programa principal, una sala de conciertos, y extenderlo a otros ámbitos. La renovada Casa de la Nación no es ni una plaza ni un edificio, sino algo intermedio. Un lugar en medio del urbanismo y la arquitectura. Un marco común para el encuentro social, el intercambio cultural y el diálogo.
